Solar Eclipse is Coming!

By Keiana Eaddy

On August 21, 2017 the next Solar Eclipse will happen. A Solar Eclipse is when the moon blocks the Sun’s light, heat and beauty from the planet Earth. The only parts of Earth you can see it are in the United States, which makes this one special. If you are on the other side of the Earth you will not be able to see it because there is no moon.

You can also become blind from looking at it with a telescope and a magnifying glass.  While looking at this you will need solar glasses to protect your eyes from injuries, damage, and also losing eyesight.

There might be another eclipse happening in 2024. In New Jersey we won't see a complete eclipse, but it will be darker than usual.

The solar eclipse is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see and watch, but be ready and safe to see it!
