New Jersey's First Female Governor Visits!

On Monday LifeCamp got quite the surprise.  Christine Todd Whitman, the first female governor of New Jersey, visited our campus!
She was governor of NJ from 1994 to 2001. During her time as governor there were many jobs created. She put in environmental systems for clean beaches, and established higher curriculum standards and charter schools.  After her time in office she was the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency from 2001 to 2003.
Governor Whitman gave advice for kids that would like to be in politics one day and said, “Do you care about the environment and how decisions are being made? These are some things you should consider.  Think about the things that you care about." Governor Whitman thinks that LifeCamp is a wonderful opportunity for kids. We're so glad she liked it!
