Hour of Silence

Sometimes it is nice to have a little bit of quiet, don’t you think?  Well, on Tuesday morning, the first period of the day was deemed an “Hour of Silence” by Mr. Franz.  He wanted every person in the camp to see if they could stay quiet for one full hour.  I investigated the hour of silence to see if people were really following Mr. Franz’ instructions. While at chess, I saw some people playing by themselves in order to stay quiet. Campers and counselors also pointed to tell others what they wanted.  I saw a counselor point to their wrist to tell a camper it was time to go. Through all this silence it was much easier to hear the nature that surrounds us here every day.  The campers heard birds chirping and trees swaying in the breeze.
