Bike & Farm Tour
By: Jordan Dodson, Asia Harris, & Sadiyah Redding

Yesterday, a select group of campers went on a bike tour. We went to a dairy farm in Pottersville, NJ.  The farm was huge and we got to tour it.  We saw where the cows were milked and how they were fed.  Later, we were able to go through the corn fields and pick corn to take home.  At the end of the day we got to eat ice cream that was made with the milk from the cows at the farm.  It was a great time and definitely worth the long ride to the farm.
We interviewed a person who worked at the farm. This is our result:

  • NAME: COLLEEN
  • JOB: DAIRY TECH
  • WHAT KIND OF FARM IS IT: DAIRY FARM
  • WHAT YEAR DID THEY START WORKING THERE: 2014
  • ANIMALS AND CROPS: CORN, HAY, AND DAIRY CATTLE
  • DO THEY SELL ANY OF THE PRODUCTS TO MAKE PROFIT: MILK, OCCASIONALLY HAY AND  CORN
The campers get ready to ride.
A camper shows the camera the corn she picked.
This camper sees a good ear of corn to pick.
Campers get to feed the cows.
Campers got to see how the cows live at this dairy farm.
Taking a break at the farm.
Posing for a picture by one of the farm's machines.
