Sung Hyun Park shot a 67 in the final round to win the 2017 US Women's Open. The tournament was played at Trump National tournament down the street from camp.

Park had a final score of 277, two  shots more than Hye Jin Choi.  Last year, Park hit the last ball  into the water on the eighteen  hole and missed a playoff with  Brittany Lang and Anna  Nordqvist.

Park's scores got better with each round. She had a 73 in the first round, a 70 in the second round and a 67 in the last two rounds. Park was three shots behind the leader heading into the last round. She won $900K.

Choi played the in the tournament at the age of 17 and finished in second place with a final score of 279. Because she is an amateur, she doesn't make any money. She recorded the lowest 72-hole score by an amateur in tournament history. Her 279 was four strokes fewer than the previous record held by Grace Park from 1999.

We were able to go to the golf course before the tournament started.

The US Women's Open was a  great opportunity for us to go  and see them before they  leave. I most likely wont have  a chance to see them again. I  met Brittany Lang, who is a  great idol to look up to if you  are great at golf. Lang was  their when I was and I took a  picture with her and also has  autographed my shirt and hat.  Even though I was kinda  hungry I still was on my best behavior all day.

We also got a nice USGA ball marker. That was so nice and we were grateful of them to do it for me and all the other kids who went. That day it was really hot but I sill fought through it like it was nothing. I am very thankful for being offered to come and support everyone there.
